Download Linksys App

Embark on the Linksys Velop AC2200 Setup process by downloading the linksys app in your smartphone. Use an Android or iOS device to get the app from google play/ app store.

Create Account

Once an account is created, initiate the next step by creating a linksys account. A linksys account is required to set up a wifi mesh network. Follow the further stated steps to create a linksys account:

• Firstly launch your linksys app.
• Thereafter choose “create account”
• Mention the required information.
• Submit it after re-verifying the details.

Place Velop Primary Node

Placement of the primary node is a very crucial step. Node placement next to the modem device required for the setup. Be careful while keeping the device as you need an electric outlet closer to the placement.

Start The Node & Link With Modem

Moving further in the process, you have to link the primary node with power using a power adapter. Prior to turning on the device make sure you connect it with the modem using ethernet cable. Connecting the primary node using ethernet cable is mandatory for smooth setup.

Initiate Configuration

Now it’s time to initiate Linksys Velop AC2200 Setup by following the below specified steps:

• Rush back to linksys app and opt for “Set up a New Wi-Fi Network”
• Thereafter choose the “Velop and Mesh Routers” option from the next screen.
• Moving further click on the next option and then its connected option.

Place The Child Nodes & Boot Up

After configuring the parent node, you have to configure the child node. So, first palace the child node around 10 ft. away from the parent node. While placing the additional nodes make sure there is no network interface device in between. So, your node is able to connect with the parent node. Boot up the child node very carefully using the power adapter.

Additional Nodes To Network

Come back to the linksys mobile app and choose the add child node option. Then follow the screen guide to add all nodes to the network one after another.

Finish Setup

Once you add all the child nodes you have to the Linksys Velop AC2200 Setup network then hit on the “finish” option. Lastly, you must check the new network using the wifi enabled device. Link to the newly created network and browse the high definition content.
