Scan For Pending Updates

Then from the control panel select the Administration option. Under this you’ll find the firmware upgrade section. Scan for updates. If found, install them then and there. Ensure Right Placement Of The Device

Reset The Router

When none of the above written troubleshooting steps solves the Linksys router red light issue, then factory reset is the ultimate savior. For resetting the router follow these steps:

• Power on the router. 
• Let it finish its booting process. 
• Take a straight paper clip or a sturdy toothpick. 
• Locate the reset port. 
• Insert the pin into it. 
• Push down and hold for 8 to 10 seconds or till you see the panel lights flickering. 
• On release the router will reboot and now you can redo the setup.
